CONGRATULATIONS MASON!!

Want to give a shout out to one of my favorite people!!

Mason spent a few days last week on a modeling scout and did very well.
Everyone here at A.C. Wyman wishes him the best of luck, and
asks him not to forget the little people when he makes it on the cover of GQ Magazine.
I feel privileged to have been able to shoot him first!

We love you Mason, don't ever forget who you are,
and the people that love you most!!

A Girl and Her Horse

A few days ago I had the pleasure of meeting Major.  He is one of the most beautiful horses I've ever seen.  His owner Cassidy, is quite the looker as well.  The connection between these two is not one of horse and owner, but of two friends who love and respect each other equally.  I don't know who is more fortunate to have the other.
I hope to see Major again someday, but I was so lucky to have seen these two together.

When I was growing up, I had a few friends with horses and I really enjoyed being around them and riding was one of the few times I really felt totally free.  As much as you feel and think you are in control, you are still being carried by someone else.  If you've never been riding, I encourage you to do so!!
Enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!!
Thanks Cass, for letting me hang out with you and Major!!
Love you,
Cheri

                              Loafin' Joe's Turns 21

Joe and Jennifer Weber
Saturday August 6th, great friends of mine celebrated 21 years of homemade loaves, pickles, various lunch meats, BIG salads, pizzas and a ton of homemade chips!!  Joe and Jennifer Weber opened Loafin Joe's 21 years ago.  A few short years later they gave birth to their first son, Zachary.  Since then they have had two more children, Samantha and Annabel.  The Weber's have extreme pride in their family owned business and have also branched out to the neighboring city of Springdale.

Samantha, Annabel and Zachary
Loafin Joe's may be considered a hot spot among the local university patrons, but the Weber's have always made sure Loafin Joe's is a family first establishment.  Hard work is no stranger to this family and the beauty of the Mountain Street Store is evident of this fact.  You can see how much pride they have taken in their first "child", basically from the ground up.  As I look at it today, I can't hardly imagine that cars pulled into the bay for oil changes and gas was pumped out front.  Joe and Jennifer had a vision and you can enjoy it today.

As Jennifer would say "It's a Wonderful Loaf!"
Loafin' Joe's Facebook Page
I met the Weber's in 2009 and grew to love them very quickly.  Joe is very laid back and seems to love all sports.  He is also an avid runner, no one would ever know by his physique. (insert eye roll here)
Jennifer is also an avid runner and insanely creative.  She has the heart of a lion when it comes to her children, and a heart of gold when it comes to her friends.
Zachary is a hard worker just like his parents, well mannered and what every young man should be.  He has always been so kind to my youngest and I see the same qualities in my own as he gets older.  I can't help but think that Zach had a hand in this.
Samantha is one of the most well rounded teens I've ever met, I adore her.  She will probably forever be torn between the love of two sports, basketball and soccer.  She has an immense talent in both and will succeed in any direction she should choose.
Annabel... Have your ever heard the term spitfire?  This is Annabel in a nutshell.  She is so full of life and zest.  Spend and afternoon with her and she will have you in stitches, her mind never stops. (Mini Jennifer) To say she is an amazing athlete would also be an understatement, she excels in everything.
The Weber's are very special to me and to so many others in our community.  They lead by example in faith, family and hard work.

Congratulations to the Weber family and all the Loafin Joe crew!  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to hang out with you before your special celebration.  It's a great thing to be able to call you all friends.
Love you all,
Cheri and The Higgins Gang

This is TAYLOR!

Taylor is the daughter of one of my very best friends.  As you can see she is one of the most unique and beautiful people you will ever see.  She has always been beautiful inside and out.  She and I have tried on many occasions to do a photo shoot together.  My schedule, her schedule and the miles between us have always been an issue.  Her lovely mother took this great shot of her and I was fortunate enough to get to play with it in the editing room.

I  can't wait until we get the chance to be in the same place at the same time.  She is one of the most striking people I've ever seen and has the whole world at her hands.  She starts college this fall at OSU and we wish her the very best of luck, love and happiness!

We love you Taylor!!

The Beginning

I've had many attempts at blogging, regular blogs, photo blogs, anonymous blogs etc.  I truly hope this will be the last blog attempt and a total success. Enjoy!!

My name is Cheri and I've been taking pictures for years.  Professionally never, actually I'm not sure how one becomes a 'professional photographer'.  Is it like being dubbed a knight?  At any rate, I take, make and capture photos and I enjoy doing so.
When I was young it was nature that caught my eye, sunsets particularly.  Catching one seemed like such an accomplishment at the time.  After I had children, I couldn't get enough pictures of my first born, it was insane.  When my second came along, I started to perfect my craft a little more and discovered that I could totally do what all those "professionals" could do.  With the birth of my third child, I discovered editing and fell in love with all the fun things it has offered.  My children are older now and photo editing has really been a big help in showing my girls that the girls in magazines aren't perfect until they have spent an hour in photoshop.

It would be my pleasure to do business with you and help you create memories that will last for years and years to come.

Sincerely Yours,
Cheri Higgins

My oldest is a natural! (totally unedited)

Enjoy the photos, but please don't take what's not yours. Thank you!!
